The Samara Villas and Restaurant is a delicate splash of color amongst the calming green palette of the rice fields around it.
The Balinese people refer to this area as “Juwuk Manis”, Sweet Orange, as it welcomes its visitors with a sweet embrace that tickles all senses. For the locals it is a very special place, so special that once past the neighboring village, 300 meters away from us, no cars are allowed anymore. To reach The Samara, you'll have to go through Jalan Kajeng, a romantic and characteristic path carved through the traditional Balinese nature. Jalan Kajeng is featured in every Bali guide as one of the must do walks while in Ubud, and The Samara is just on it.
